Day 1 Arrive in Shanghai

Met by your guide and check in hotel.Once your flight lands in Shanghai Pudong/Hongqiao International Airport, our professional guide and driver will meet you at the exit and transfer you to your hotel. There is no sightseeing arranged today so you can rest to recover from jet lag or do some expedition on your own.

Day 2 Shanghai Sightseeing[B]

Morning, we start with a visit to Shanghai Museum, the magnificent 4-story building is home to one of the most impressive collections in the country, guiding you through the pages of Chinese history. Next comes the Yu Gardens, a fine example of Ming garden design built in the 16th century. Today's activities end up with strolling along the Bund-the symbolic of colonial Shanghai and the city's Wall Street, you will get amazed in front of the majestic Huangpu River and the varied skyscrapers of Pudong. Get on the train to Lhasa in the evening. Overnight in the train.

Day 3 Sightseeing on the train [B]

You'll spend the whole day on the train today. Great views of vast plains dotted with flocks and herds in far distance will accompany you along the way. Cross hundreds of miles of desolate lands on the high plateau and top out the highest point-Tanggu-la Pass at 5072m during the train journey. Make yourself relaxed and witness this engineering marvel. Overnight in the train.

Day 4 Arrive in Lhasa [B]

Today, arrive in Lhasa, and welcome the roof of the world! Our guide will meet you at airport or train station. Then drive to downtown of Lhasa and transfer to your hotel. Have a good rest for adapting to the high attitude. It is helpful to take things easy and drink enough water for the day of your arrival. Day 5 Lhasa Sightseeing [B]

Today, you'll have a tour to Lhasa's cardinal landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site-Potala Palace. Renowned as one of the great wonders on earth for its elaborate architecture built at an elevation of 3700m, this awe-inspiring palace will not disappoint you. In the afternoon, pay a visit to Jokhang Temple, the most respected shrine in Tibet. Thick with the smell of incense and yak butter, you'll witness a throng of prostrating pilgrims cramming out there. The temple is the masterpiece of Tibetan, Chinese and Nepalese architectural techniques. Then take a stroll around the Barkhor Street, the oldest bazaar in the city. You'll also enjoy a welcome dinner gathering with all travel mates in the group after the sightseeing activities. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 6 Lhasa Sightseeing [B]

Morning, you'll visit Drepung Monastery, once world's largest monastery with about 10,000 monks. Walking up to the hill is a pleasant thing, an easy break from the solemn ambience inside the halls and chapels. At the plat roof of hillside, you can have very good views of the whole Lhasa city and the distant mountains. In the afternoon, you'll have a chance to witness the famous 'Buddhism Scriptures Debating' session at Sera Monastery. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 7 Fly back home [B]

Be prepared for your flight back to home. Your guide and driver will be on time to transfer you to the airport. Thanks for traveling with us. Hope to be at your service next time.
