Learned from the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company, reporters said that there will set up a new route direct to northeastern of China from Tibet on February 4th.
It is understood that this passenger train will start from Lhasa Station in Tibet and end in Shenyang North Station in Liaoning Province. It will take continued ride in Wesr Beijing Station. Train numbers are tentatively set as Z22 from Lhasa to West Beijing Station and Z622 from West Beijing Station to Shenyang North Station with one-way trip up to nearly 4500 km and operating for about 48 hours.
When this passenger train is put into operation, it will become the first passenger train traveling to northeast areas from Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The body of the train will be taken the 25T Plateau type and carry out diffuse type of oxygen supply.
From February 4th on, the train bounding for Shenyang from Lhasa will operate along Qinghai-Tibet Railway, Lanzhou-Qinghai Railway, Baotou-Lanzhou Railway and Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, traveling through 9 provinces including Tibet, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, Shanxi, Liaoning etc.
